Courage In Your Job Search

Have courage in your job search and just get up and try again tomorrow. If anyone has been following Diana Nyad’s swim from Cuba to Key West for the 5th time and saw her arrival, you might agree with the quote in the image “Courage doesn’t always roar.  Sometimes courage is the little voice at the end of the day that says I’ll try again tomorrow.”  ~Mary Anne Radmacher

It’s still a tough job market out there especially in the New Jersey region.  The newly unemployed need to be ready and willing to reinvent themselves in order to get work again.  Especially the older workers; and while we might not consider ourselves old and dated, some employers might.  The best way to stay fresh is to stay abreast of Social Media and digital hiring trends.  This may seem scary at first to the late adopters of Social Media who thought they could remain offline forever.  But the truth is, it’s become harder and harder to sell yourself.  To sell a potential employer your brand and what it can do for them, you have to advertise your brand online.  So get going.  Like Diana Nyad – ONWARD!

I have a dream too

I have a dream too

“I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character.” -Martin Luther King Jr

Drew this on my iPad1 with Procreate App to commemorate today’s 50th anniversary of the march on Washington. I believe there are new MLK’s among us and we shall strive to improve our job market and economy to achieve the equality Dr King dreamed of across the land. My dream is to be able to help as many Americans get their resumes polished up so they can compete in this digital era and get working productively again. #AdvanceTheDream

A Mothers Love Is Usually Blind – Boston Bombing Suspects Mom Says They’re Innocent

His Mom’s loyalty is to be expected and he has a great Public Defender in his corner as well.  But enough about the suspect.

We send condolences and solidarity to the victims families.  This past week in the US was such a gripping and dramatic one that this blog post just had to address the marathon bombing.  RIP to the deceased.  Recovery & speedy adjustments to the others.  #BostonStrong
